Le Fan

Live scores, goal alerts and a feed that only talks about your teams. Nothing else shouting at you.

  • Live scores
  • Goal alerts
  • Fan threads

Start here: what Le Fan actually is

Le Fan is a sports app for people who already know who they support. You pick your clubs and your players, and the app stops being general. The feed leads with them. The alerts are about them. The threads are full of people who care about the same result you do.

Most of the time you are not reading anything. You are glancing. A score, a scorer, a minute. That glance is what the whole app is built around — the live line updates as the match moves, so you are not pulling to refresh in the queue for coffee. When you do want more, the story is underneath it: lineups, the goal, what happened after.

And when the final whistle goes, the part that matters is still there — the thread. People arguing about the substitution, people posting the away end, people who stayed up for it in another time zone. That is the bit a scoreboard cannot give you.

What you get, in ten seconds

Scores that move with the match

The line changes on the goal, not on a refresh. Minute, scorer, cards, added time — all on one screen while you are still walking.

Alerts you chose yourself

Set them per team. Goals only for one, everything for another: lineups, red cards, penalties, full time. Mute a competition you do not care about.

A feed about your teams, not everyone's

Follow clubs and players and the news reorders itself. Transfers, injuries, team news and match reports for the badges you actually wear.

Threads that live with the game

Every match has a room. Join at kick-off, stay for the post-mortem, come back on Monday when someone has rewatched it frame by frame.

One app for everything you follow

Football on Saturday, basketball at midnight, the national team in the summer. Same follow list, same alerts, no second app to check.

A Saturday with it on

Three o'clock. You are not in front of a screen — you are on a train, in a shop, at somebody else's family lunch. Your phone buzzes once. It is the only thing it buzzes for, because you set it that way: goals for your club, nothing else until full time.

You open it. The score, the scorer, the minute, and the thread already forty messages deep with people saying the same word in capitals. You read six of them and put the phone back in your pocket. Forty seconds, start to finish.

Later, when it is quiet, the same match is still there with everything filled in — how the goal came, who came off, what it did to the table. Same app, slower gear. That is the whole idea: fast when you have ten seconds, deep when you have twenty minutes, and never the other way round.

What fans say about it

★★★★★
I had four apps for four sports. Now there is one follow list and my phone only goes off when something I care about happens.
Marcus
★★★★★
The alerts are the reason I kept it. Goals only on weekdays, everything on at the weekend. It took about a minute to set up.
Priya
★★★★☆
Match threads are better than I expected — proper fans, not just noise. I check it after the final whistle more than before kick-off.
